Welcome to my stop on the Patchwork Gifts Book Tour, the beautiful new book just published by Elise Baek of @Eliseandemilie for Tuva Publishing.

I'm extremely excited to be here...to be asked to be involved, and to receive an advance copy of this pretty pretty book, and to see my name listed with all those other amazing makers!

Elise's book is just bursting with wonderfully colourful makes.

From cute little nick knacks to larger practical and useful projects. It was really hard to decide what to make!

But in the end I just had to make some of those shabby 'shrooms that are on the cover!

I made each one a bit differently, putting my Liberty underneath rather than on the cap.

The cream linen is vintage tea towel fabric that was passed on from my hubby's grandma, and was just dreamy to work with.

It's so special to be able include a sentimental aspect to my sewing. I loved creating the shabby, rustic linen ruffles with this!

Each one is slightly different, with ruffles in different places, and little additions of buttons.

Elise's pattern is just perfect, so easy to use, and fun to customise! Why don't you see how many places you can add a ruffle!

For my second project I've turned to the dark side...because we love Star Wars in this family ;)

This is my take on the Bon Voyage Passport Case on page 66 in the book.

I've sized this little folio up slightly so it can be used for larger documents, and even a notebook can be slipped inside.

With everything shutting down around the world, it's not likely that I'll be travelling very far.

So I thought outside the box again...such a novel idea to just stay home!

I love how Liberty fabrics can look so different.

They can be bright and pretty, with a vintage or romantic feel.

They can be modern and edgy paired with canvas and denim and leather.

There is a still a soft, pretty side to this, but it's not so overt.

I used the canvas that I waxed a few weeks ago. It's so fun to sew with!

I'm slowly making projects out of the large piece of canvas that we waxed ourselves. I'm more of a fan all the time!

The front of the book has a denim striped spine, a cute little postage tag sewn into the spine, and another appliqued Liberty fabric stamp backed with felt.

I also added a needle turn world globe, and padded it to make it puff up and be more 3D.

It was fun to see that the leather ribbon marker made the axis of my world.

A totally unintentional but cool result!

The little fish print (glimmer C) has so much character, and just adds to the vintage travel feel.

I dream of sea faring ocean voyages!
