Owl Doorstop From Recycled Jeans

Owls have been popular for quite a while now, and I've always loved them, so I decided to design my own out a pair of my son's old jeans. Of course I won't mention what should have happened to those jeans...my favourite 'm' word...but it's too late now, as he's now taller than me, and the opportunity is (thankfully) past.

My original idea was for something shabby but colourful, with something of a waistcoat of feathers on the front. I always forget what a job it is actually getting something from out of my head, onto paper, and finally completing it.

Lots of scribbling, cutting out, sewing, discarding wonky efforts, trying to not become disheartened... whew!

And of course, the finished product is always a fair distance from my original idea, but I'm not too bothered, as the major parts all came together. I'll keep on scribbling and experimenting, as I think there are still more owls in there waiting to be made...
