I had another little finish the other day...I've had a charm pack of Fig Tree & Co's Somerset fabric since last year, and only now had the chance to use it.

I made a whole heap of half square triangles, paired with a cream solid, and played around the with arrangement to use as many as possible. It proved to me again that I need a lot more practice. I also learned the hard to make sure you take your fabric to the shop with you to match the cream, as the one I bought was still too white. It was a lot of fun, and would be the smallest pieced project I've ever actually done. My points are no where near perfect, but I learned so much in the process.

I did an ombre arrangement, and managed to use all but 5 squares, which I thought wasn't too bad.

And I found some more vintage fabric of my husband's grandmother's to use for the backing, and it was a perfect match. I was dubious whether being a seersucker would effect how well it would quilt, but it was fine. I also loved using the matching aurifil threads that came with the pack. They were a dream to quilt with!

I so loved the mix of this colour palette, and really wished I had more to play with!
