At long last...the brioche cowl is finished! I have to admit that it's a little too warm for our Adelaide winter, but up here in the hills it should get a wearing when I'm out and about on the VERY crisp mornings or nights. The pattern I based this on was this one, from the Purl Bee. The pattern instructions were very clear, and the photos very helpful. Gotta love clear instructions!

My stitch amounts were a bit different, and I ran out of the coloured yarn a bit before the approximate length was reached. But the general effect was the same...lots of flashes of bright colour. Totally reversible, and lots of fun.

The yarns I used were Bendigo Woolen Mills 'Luxury' 8ly, in cream, and Moda Vera 'Beetle' 8ply in the rainbow variegated. Bendigo Woolen Mills have the BEST value wool I've ever seen. Love, LOVE it!!

I've really enjoyed learning this new skill...and for anyone thinking about getting back into knitting, why not have a look at all the fresh new designs and techniques that are around. You might be surprised...Check out the beginning of this project here.
