Handmade Birthday Pillow

I seem to be making a lot of birthday presents at the moment, and that's probably the way it's going to be for a while around here. With very little time to spend of crafting, the things that get made usually have to have a purpose. One of my sweet little nieces is having her birthday and as it is, this is still going to reach her late...sigh. Hopefully it will just make the fun last longer...I hope she's not grown out of all things pink. You can probably tell that I haven't yet!

I love choosing all the fabrics, (don't you love those yummy scraps?!) and coming up with a design. Note to self: remember to trace everything on the vliesofix backwards, as it saves waste...;)So that pile of fabric became this:

It always amuses me how ric-rac is trendy again...

And also how much I love hand sewing...I'm becoming quite addicted.

And in my haste to post this off, I forgot to initial and date the back, but it would have arrived even later if I had.So, little Dory, I do hope you can find a place on your bed for this...miss you lots...happy birthday sweetie xx
