The Crystal Lattice quilt comes in two twinkly sizes with easy corner squares & rectangles

It's always been my absolute delight to be able to sew with advance Tilda Collections, and Happy Campers has been no exception.

Happy Campers is a pastel and floral range which is soft and pretty and totally appeals to the romantic in you.

I mean look at all that sorbet flavoured goodness!!

I was instantly inspired to design something simple but interesting.

Introducing the Crystal Lattice quilt... a sparkle from my heart to yours.

This simple take on a four-patch come nine-patch, was the result, and is the perfect bling effect to set off the pretty fabrics.

I couldn't help imagining the feeling of gifting this twinkly and crinkly quilt to that someone special and seeing their delight!

The Crystal Lattice quilt is a confident beginner level pattern which you can create in two sizes,

Throw (60" x 60"), and Baby (45" x 45").

The repeating block style is easy to learn, and all seams nest, which makes for fast progress.

The pattern features beautiful colour graphics with full instructions to make the two main units.

All seams nest, which makes for fast assembly with minimal pins!

Introducing Crystal Lattice - a Throw and Baby Quilt Pattern - Spin your seams

I've demonstrated the technique to spin your seams, which is a totally cool skill to add to your quilting repetoire.

You'll just love how flat and smooth those junctions lie when you press like this!

And you don't need to be afraid of the dreaded half rectangle triangle either

...I've got you totally covered!

Yes, it is a new skill to learn, but it's a quick one, and as you'll be repeating this right throughout the quilt, you'll get used to them so fast.

These mysterious babies need be mysterious no more when you follow my simple explanation...you'll be sewing these in a jiffy!

This quilt can be constructed from both fat quarters or yardage, and you can sew your stash, or totally use up all those leftover scraps.

I know that my scrap bins are overflowing, and I'd love to make a second one just using them!

There's plenty of scope to create this in a modern or traditional style, bright or muted, and totally make this design your own.

The baby version of the quilt is actually slightly different, but made from the same two units, and has a cool effect all of its own!

I used very different fabrics in this one to highlight another way to make this...

But I'll show you more about that one next week.
