In this lesson, I’ll help you understand what’s actually happening when you sew, before we worry about threading or stitching anything at all.
We’ll zoom out and look at the big picture — how fabric moves through the machine, how the needle and bobbin threads work together, and how each stitch is formed. From there, I’ll introduce you to the key parts of your sewing machine and explain the role each one plays, so the machine starts to feel familiar rather than mysterious.As you watch, you’ll begin to move from “I don’t really know what this machine is doing” to “Oh — that makes sense.”
This lesson is about building calm understanding before action. When you know what the parts are for and how they work together, everything that comes next feels easier and more logical.
By the end of this lesson, you should feel oriented, grounded, and ready to thread your machine with far more confidence in the next step.
